Lil’s breakfast was great, and we stayed in a cozy double room with comfy bedding. The only downside? The loud toilet flush could wake a light sleeper but didn't bother us much. Worth it!

Oh, the breakfast at Ty Newydd is a feast fit for a king, especially Lil's scrumptious Welsh breakfast with fresh ingredients! Plus, you've got The Old Ship Inn just a hop away, perfect for dinner after a trek. The cozy atmosphere and cute host complete the package.
But, I must cheekily mention, the doors to the rooms and shared bathroom were quite heavy, I was like a ninja tiptoeing during those late-night loo runs!

Lil, our charming host, provided a warm welcome and served a fantastic Welsh breakfast each morning, with fresh ingredients. The location is peaceful and ideal for exploring nearby attractions.
Shared bathroom might not suit everyone.

missingWrote a review on 27 Octsqueaky bedsmusty smelltired decor
The guesthouse is basic with squeaky beds and a musty smell in the room. The kettle inside wasn't clean, and the decor appeared quite tired. There's no parking at the guesthouse, but there's free parking a short walk away. Heavy doors make entry tricky, especially for older guests. Watch out for low doorways and beams. Bumping your head could spoil your evening.

Some parts impressed, others didn't
Lil, our host, was warm and created a good breakfast experience every morning. The quiet surroundings provided an ideal getaway with easy access to local attractions and fine scenery.
The shared bathroom arrangement was somewhat cramped, which may not suit everyone. There was also limited grocery shopping options nearby, necessitating travel to a nearby village for essentials.

Great free Wi-Fi in the room. Toilet flush was really loud at night.

I stayed in a Double Room and it was actually really cozy. The bed was super comfortable and clean, definitely reminded me of a little retreat. And tea, coffee, and biscuits right there. The only weird thing was the sink being in the room instead of the bathroom, but it didn't bother me much. Oh, and just a heads-up, the toilet flushing was quite loud, so maybe a light sleeper might have some trouble at night. But overall, it was a lovely stay!

Perfect getaway for nature lovers!
This cute guest house is a gem! The views of the hikes to the mountain lakes are unreal. Lil, our host, and breakfast was delish! We also enjoyed packed lunches for our hikes. Just a heads-up, the bathrooms are a bit small, but it's all good for the price!

During a pleasant stay, the delicious breakfast with local ingredients was a highlight, and the rooms, while functional, could benefit from a refresh. The low doorways posed a challenge, together with the lack of en-suite facilities , made for some inconvenience. The location was charming but offered limited parking options, requiring a short walk to find a spot. A bit of attention to maintenance could elevate the experience significantly.
